Universal free breakfast club

Barry Primary School is one of the Early Adopter Schools for the DfE's Free Universal Breakfast Clubs, Our doors open at 8.10am every morning and welcomes children from Reception to Year 6 to join us for a healthy breakfast of cereal, toast/crumpets, fresh fruit and fruit smoothies.
A range of activities are available for the children to share with their peers e.g. lego, colouring, board games and in the finer weather we are able to use the playground equipment.
Our breakfast club is a great way for children to start the day socialising with their friends and provides a smooth transition into the classroom.
If you are interested in your child joining us, whether it is for one day or five days, can book your child/children in for the day or days that you wish them to attend. You can book in advance, up to the end of the school year or as you go along.. No child will be turned away, even if they turn up on the day without booking! Whilst we won’t turn children away who have not got a booking, we would appreciate the you do complete the online booking so we can ensure adequate staffing and food availability.
We run a wide range of after school activities between 3.20pm - 4.20pm. These are offered as half term blocks. Clubs are led by members of staff and external providers. Most clubs change every half term but as an example we offer football, choir, book and craft, cookery, drawing, basketball, lego and gymnastics.
