Autumn Term 2 - 2021
Maths
We will be learning about measurement, length and perimeter. Looking closely at equivalent lengths cm, mm, m, adding and subtracting lengths, measuring perimeter including shapes. We will then move onto Multiplication and Division.
English
We will be looking at the features of instructional texts and writing some of our own instructions. We will become familiar with using headings and sub-headings, writing steps in chronological order and incorporating imperative verbs and time adverbials into our writing.

In science we are investigating electricity. Looking closely at where electricity comes from, how a circuit works and electrical conductors and insulators. This will link to our DT this term when we will design and make a lantern incorporating an electrical component.

Each week, Year 4 children should:
- Practise their spellings
- Read daily (4 entries in comment book)
- Practise their target cards

PE is on Tuesday.
Please ensure correct kit is worn all day.
Swimming is on Monday.
Please provide a towel, a swimming costume or swimming trunks. All children MUST wear a swimming cap. NO goggles allowed.
